MATERI B INGGRIS KELAS 8 / SHOULD AND MUST

 Pada chapter 3 Bahasa Inggris kelas 8 SMP dibahas tentang We Know What to Do. Pada chapter ini dibagi menjadi dua materi yaitu Suggestion dan Obligation.

Suggestion adalah ungkapan yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sebuah saran kepada orang lain. Biasanya dalam menyatakan suggestion, kita menggunakan kata Should.

Pola dalam suggestion menggunakan should adalah:

S + Should + V1

S + Should be + Adjective/ noun/ adverb

Contoh:

• You should go to school now.
• She should be calm to resolve this problem.
• You should be a police.
• She should end this game as soon as possible

Obligation adalah ungkapan yang digunakan untuk menyatakan sebuah kewajiban. Kewajiban adalah sesuatu yang harus dikerjakan. Bila dilanggar, si pelaku akan mendapatkan konsekuensi. Dalam menyatakan kewajiban atau obligation, kita biasanya menggunakan kata Must.

Pola dalam Obligation menggunakan Must adalah:

S + Must + V1

S + Must be + Adjective/ noun/ adverb

Terkadang kita bisa menggunakan "have to" untuk menggantikan Must:

S + have to + V1

Contoh:

• Students must wear scout uniform every Friday.
• They must be crazy because of Reno.
• Shinta must meet me at 6 pm.
• Rayhan must be angry.
• I have to go now.
