Recount text adalah sebuah teks yang menceritakan kembali peristiwa atau aktivitas yang terjadi di masa lampau yang pernah di alami sebelumnya. Kita mungkin pernah mendengar sebelumnya dari guru kita bahwa Recount Text adalah sebuah cerita pengalaman yang benar - benar terjadi di dalam kehidupan kita. Lalu, tujuan dari Recount text itu sendiri adalah untuk menghibur atau memberi informasi kepada pembaca.
Ciri-Ciri Recount Text
- Memiliki judul yang merangkum teks. Contohnya 'My Vacation to Bali' maka ceritanya hanya akan menceritakan seluruh liburan saat berada di bali
- Menceritakan peristiwa yang sudah terjadi di masa lampau. Maka Recount text selalu menggunakan past tense, contohnya 'Last month, I went to Bali with my family.
- Semua kejadian yang di ceritakan harus secara berurutan. Jadi, harus memakai kata sambung seperti 'when', 'later', 'then', 'after', 'before', dan lain lain.
- Orientation
Bagian Orientation merupakan bagian pendahuluan atau perkenalan dari text yang akan dibahas. Karena di dalam Orientation ini menceritakan siapa saja yang terlibat dalam cerita, apa yang terjadi, di mana tempat peristiwa terjadi, dan waktu terjadinya peristiwa. - Events
Bagian Event merupakan inti dari cerita. Pada bagian ini kita menceritakan semua yang terjadi secara berurutan dari awal sampai selesai - Re-orientation
Bagian Re-orientation berisi kesimpulan dari isi cerita, atau bisa juga merupakan pendapat pribadi dari si pencerita. Re-orientation ini bisa disebut juga akhir atau penutup dari cerita

MY NOT SO FUN ‘HOLIDAY’
ORIENTATION
Due to the spread of corona virus, me and my friend had to study at home from 18 March 2020 to 30 march 2020. My teacher informed me from the Whatsapp group that we had to study at home. I was so sad when I knew the information. I could not meet my friend at all!
EVENTS
During the ‘holiday’ I just stayed at home like what my teacher instructed me. I went out from my home only when I needed it, such as when I needed to company my mother to take my sister to go to the puskesmas. My sister was having a fever. I was so afraid that my sister got the corona virus. Gladly, the doctor said that my sister was going to have a new tooth. We did not need to worry about the fever. After the doctor examined my sister, we went to home straightly after that.
My teacher gave me and my friends a lot of assignment to be done at home. We had the assignment of Bahasa, English, Math, and many more. We had at least one assignment for every lesson, so we got at least 11 assignment. It really made me dizzy! Those assignment help me to not feeling bored during the holiday because I did the assignment almost every day.
REORIENTATION
The holiday because of corona was no fun at all. I was tired because of the assignments. I was also bored because I could not go anywhere. I hope the virus will be gone soon so I can go to school like usual.

My First Trip to Pari Island
Last September, I went to Pari Island for a holiday. I went there with Sarah, Andi, Eveline, and Yoko. That was my first time to travel there.
Our boat departed from Muara Angke port to the island at 8.00 AM. We arrived at Pari Island around 10.00 Am. After that, we went to our guest house that we had booked before. Fortunately, our guest house was located near to the port, so we did not have to walk so far. The first thing that we did after that was rent bicycle. It only cost IDR 20.000 per day. Then we did cycling for a while and had lunch before we decided to do snorkeling.
When we went snorkeling, the fisherman who became our guide brought us to the beach far enough from our guest house. We did snorkeling there. The water was very clear. We could see groups of tiny fishes and beautiful coral under the sea. After we did snorkeling for approximately three hours, we returned to our guest house. We ended up the first day by getting dinner and took some walks around.
On the second day, we woke up so early to watch sunrise. We did not need to go far to watch the sunrise because our guest house was so near to the beach and we could watch the sunrise there. Sunrise on the beach, what a beautiful view!
After we spent long enough time to watch the sunrise, we decided to get breakfast. There was a festival at that time. We went to the festival and had breakfast there. We ate some delicious sea foods. We felt time went so fast that day. We needed to return to our guest house because our boat that would bring us home would depart at 10.00 AM.
In summary, my first trip to Pari Island was so enjoyable. I would like to visit this place again together with my family in another chance
