IMPERATIVE SENTENCE

Imperative Sentence ( Kalimat perintah ) merupakan bentuk kalimat yang digunakan untuk memberikan perintah, peringatan, instruksi , ,nasehat dan juga permintaan.

Ciri umum dari imperative sentence yang tertulis adalah akhiran berupa exclamation mark !atau menggunakan kata “ Please”

Aturan dalam susunan imperative sentence

1.       Menggunakan bare infinitive sebagai verb

Be careful !

Wake up !

2.       Tidak memerlukan subyek

“ Get out !”

“ Just take it “

3.       Menggunakan Do not atau Don’t dalam bentuk negative imperative sentence ( larangan )

Don’t stop

Don’t forget

4.       Menggunakan kata Let Us atau Let’s sebagai ajakan

Let ‘s eat !

Let us try it now

5.       Menambahkan kata Please untuk memperhalus perintah / agar lebih sopan

“ Please swipe your card “

“ Sit down , please “

6.       Menggunakan question tag untuk memperhalus perintah

Tell me everything, will you?

Take me there,won’t you ?
